Volunteer Opportunities – Puppy Raiser

Description
Raisers come from all walks of life and family situations. No prior experience with dogs is necessary, as GEB will provide training and support for anyone who makes a commitment to the program. Raisers are responsible for providing a safe, healthy and loving home for a puppy. They socialize the puppy and teach the puppy good manners. Normally, a raiser has a puppy from 8 weeks to approximately 14-16 months of age when the puppy returns to GEB to be assessed for inclusion in the professional training program. Without raisers, there would be no guide dogs.
