Volunteer Opportunities - Puppy Sitter

Description
Sitters welcome puppies into their homes for a temporary period of time. The dates are arranged in advance and in accordance with the sitter’s schedule. The raiser provides all necessary supplies. Sitters are extremely important since they provide continuity in the puppy’s training, care and exercise.
 
Skills
Ability and willingness to learn and consistently apply training techniques
Possess the physical ability to exercise and manage a large breed dog
Patience and persistence
 
Required Training
Completion of the Pre-Puppy Placement Classes
Attend Puppy Socialization Classes held twice monthly to reinforce skill level
