| Description | |
| Raisers come from all walks of life and family situations. No prior experience with dogs is necessary, as GEB will provide training and support for anyone who makes a commitment to the program. Raisers are responsible for providing a safe, healthy and loving home for a puppy. They socialize the puppy and teach the puppy good manners. Normally, a raiser has a puppy from 8 weeks to approximately 14-16 months of age when the puppy returns to GEB to be assessed for inclusion in the professional training program. Without raisers, there would be no guide dogs. | |
